How we cook

For us, cooking means preserving vitamins and flavor.

What we eat affects our well-being. That's why we place great importance on carefully selecting our ingredients, processing them quickly, and preparing them as gently as possible. A pleasant side effect: our food not only tastes delicious, it's also healthy and easy to digest.

Not all potatoes are the same.

Up to 70 percent of our vegetables, fruit, grains, and dairy products come from organic farms. We generally source products from the region. Do vegetables always have a home advantage with us? No. When it comes to taste, we make no exceptions. That's why "Linda" from the Lüneburg Heath is our favorite potato variety (www.kartoffelvielfalt.de).

It doesn't get any fresher than this.

We process most of the food delivered in the morning on the same day. By evening, our cold storage is almost empty. Our food should taste as fresh as if it came straight from the field or garden.

Here, the vitamins remain in the food.

To preserve as many vitamins as possible, we use the gentlest cooking methods possible, such as dry steam cooking. Our grains are ground or crushed in our in-house ZENTROFAN whole grain mill shortly before processing. This ensures that not only the vitamins but also the flavor remain where they belong: in the food!

That's not coming into our house:

  • flavor enhancers
  • Coloring agents
  • Flavorings
  • Fillers and additives
  • All other additives

Insights into our kitchen

Our kitchen team processes over a ton of vegetables, fruit, cereals, and dairy products every day. With us, you can be sure that the food on your plate at lunchtime was delivered fresh that morning. Freshness is a top priority at CassiusGarten. Of course because it is healthy, but above all because it tastes good!
